I love combining Portuguese flavors, especially from the Ria Formosa, with international techniques.
I took a course in Kitchen Management and Production at the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism in 2014.
I started working at the restaurant Sea Me, in Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, where I went through all the stations until I established myself as a sushiman. It was here that I met Chef Filipe Rodrigues, who invited me to join him on a new restaurant in Lisbon dedicated to Azorean fish and meat. Meanwhile, I decided to return to Faro, my hometown, to head up the Sete Pedras restaurant, a modern "tasca" (tavern). One year later, we opened a new restaurant dedicated to street food, Grains864. At the moment I'm working as an Executive Chef and opening a new restaurant, Escama, in downtown Faro.
