Chef Jen was amazing and attentive to detail. When I submitted my inquiry to take a chef she was the only chef who actually paid attention to the dietary restrictions and presented me with a sample menu that fit our group. She communicated throughout the process of finalizing menus and wine pairings. She set up a beautiful atmosphere for the event and went above and beyond.

Chef DJ was a delight from our first interaction to the last delicious bite of dessert (and the surprise chocolate chip cookies). The food was meticulously and beautifully presented. DJ’s willingness to prepare the doneness of the salmon main to individual tastes was so appreciated. We and our guests were charmed by his personality as well as his culinary skills. Everyone had a marvelous evening.

Matt was awesome! He was friendly, clean, and the meals were excellent! He took into consideration all of our groups needs and provided a beautiful experience for us. He was also able to keep the budget pretty low, which was helpful. Would highly recommend.

Chef Brett was amazing! I was given several great choices for food and Chef Brett was super good at responding back quick with any questions I had as well as working with me on any changes I may have wanted. He was on time and very prepared. When he arrived we were so curious about his job and asked several questions. Brett was engaging in conversation and very pleasant. When it came time for the food, everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be requesting Brett for any future events.

BEST OF THE BEST Chef Isaac served my best friend's bachelor party in Providencia, CL and was top notch, fun, and entertaining. He took charge of the menu to ensure local flavors were featured, and also performed a steak dinner upon request using fine Argentinian steak. He handled last minute changes such as our Bloody Mary bar, and had a wonderful story for every plating. Of highlight, he prepared a Chilean BBQ for our pool day, featuring thin but crispy and yet still juicy pork with fresh lime. Another crowd favorite was his Arepas breakfast, as they were essentially melt-in-your-mouth and had ALL the trimmings. Don't use anyone else, you've found the best in Chile!!

Ten of us booked for a private dinner in Barcelona in January 2024. We worked with Chef Lauri to plan a "Spanish BBQ" menu. Our dinner was planned for September 18, 2024. Chef Lauri had been in contact all along and she contacted us several days before our event to tell us that she was in the hospital about to deliver her baby! But, not to worry, she had a back up plan. Her colleague, Luca, was taking up the task for our group of 10. Luca arrived at our rental apartment on time and orchestrated the most wonderful dinner imaginable! We feasted on courses of tuna belly, roasted veggies, potatoes, prawns, BBQ chicken, pork and ribs with Catalan Crema for dessert. We laughed, drank wine and had the best time with Luca. He did a fabulous job of cleaning up afterward. While this event could have not occurred without Chef Lauri's quick thinking, our evening was one of the most memorable of our trip! We will definitely look into using Take a Chef for future events. Thank you, Chef Lauri and Chef Luca!

Chef Kevin was great!! We all enjoyed the food, the timing in which it was served, and the description of the plates. The kitchen was spotless when he left.

Chef Tom and his assistant were fabulous. All details were thoughtfully attended to… from the planning stage through execution. Our family & friends raved about the service and quality of our meals throughout the weekend. We highly recommend !

We really enjoyed Fabio and Claudia; they were the best. Very professional with a good sense of humor. The dish descriptions he gave at the meal with the Italian blah, blah, blah spices were the best. The choice of menus was extensive and very flexible. Chef Fabio worked with us to provide the perfect menu for our multigenerational family dinner. Special attention was appreciated to accommodate our vegetarian members. They arrived on time, prepared great food and left the kitchen spotless.

Akad was fantastic from the very beginning. We worked through a menu that was both innovative and delicious. He communicated well and was always responsive to any queries or changes that needed to be made. As it was a big sit down dinner (30 guests), Akad assembled a team to ensure the dishes were served professionally and aesthetically. My guests raved about the quality and quantity of the food. So very pleased with the outcome and made for a memorable 40th wedding anniversary. Would hihgly recommend Akad and will definitely be using him again.

Chef Gabriele was absolutely amazing! He served a group of 11 with three small children and was very accommodating to them, serving them first to keep them happy. The presentation of the food was incredible as well as the taste. The entire experience was above and completely beyond our expectations! The story behind all the dishes was just fantastic. There aren’t enough words to describe how happy we are with his work! Thank you so much!!!!

Chef Ru was very professional and engaging. Chef prepared dinner for us. We also had Chef prepared breakfast for the last day we were in South Africa.
