“What was for me a hobby and a way to escape from my daily life, became my way of bringing to life dishes that represent my Caribbean cultural heritage.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

From a very young age, I showed a natural talent for cooking. I grew up with my grandparents, who taught me all the secrets and love for Afro-Panamanian food, from making the best sauce to preparing exquisite desserts. These were moments I enjoyed for hours with my grandmother.

Over the years, my interest grew and with practice, I perfected my culinary skills to the point where I unknowingly earned the position of the official cook in my family. It was such a sensation for my loved ones that my dishes were the center of attention at family gatherings, and my family and friends not only encouraged me but also urged me to pursue my passion for cooking. That motivated me even more, and it was then that I decided to formally start my studies in culinary arts.

Following my dreams, I embarked on one of the best life experiences I’ve had by moving to the other side of the world, specifically to Ireland, where I learned new techniques and experimented with exotic ingredients, giving me a broader vision of blending textures, flavors, and combinations in haute cuisine, also having the opportunity to work in one of the most renowned hotels on the island.

Back in Panama, my goal is to revolutionize the way we perceive food today, blending my Afro roots with the best culinary practices and trends, creating unique experiences as unique as that moment when my grandmother taught me my first dish because I am convinced that with passion, determination, and a touch of personal seasoning, any culinary dream is possible.”
