My name is Sibusiso Nhleko also known as “S’bu” a local KZN Durban born and raised chef, understanding the cultures, and the meaning of each heritage
My name is Sibusiso Nhleko also known as “S’bu” a local KZN Durban born and
raised chef, understanding the cultures, and the meaning of each heritage is
important to me when it comes to cooking, I started my culinary journey at a
young age at the Beverly Hills Umhlanga where I worked and trained along side
with chef Gerald van Staden in 2005 it is where my career path opened and
was heading for much more potential opportunities since then I’ve never
stopped cooking
I have worked in numerous giant and small establishments like the Hilton
Durban, Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga as Head chef, Fairmont Zimbali and have
had the opportunity to lead a big kitchen brigade at Alpine Heath in
Drakensburg as executive chef where I had the opportunity to be upskilled by
Chef Renzo
