Chef Yana Todorova
Private Chef In MarinaGet to know me better
Professional Pastry Chef with passion for everything related to food. I have been cooking intensely the last 20 years of my life. Everything modern!
I was born in Bulgaria. I grew up in a family where food was the center of all reunions. I come from a family of great cooks and foodies. My grandmother and mother used to cook homemade food every day, so I started helping them in the kitchen when I was around 7-8 years old. I moved to Mexico when she was 17 years old. I was inspired by a different culture and cuisine. I studied at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. I obtained a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from this institution. Later, I moved to USA to pursue my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Texas Tech University. This is where I met her future husband. I started cooking everything from scratch and it became my real passion: I created new recipes, wrote in a blog and magazine, invited people over for entertaining. I was hoping one day I could attend culinary school. Afterwards, me and my husband moved to Bakersfield, California to teach classes at California State University. After my triplets were born, I was finally able to fulfil her passion. The whole family moved to Thailand to study at the most prestigious culinary school, Le Cordon Blue Dusit in Bangkok. This was an absolutely amazing experience that inspired me to open my business in 2019, Todorovi Boutique Desserts.
When I am not in the kitchen, you can find me traveling around the world with my family or practicing Ashtanga yoga. I am a 500 RYT, registered yoga teacher, with certifications and teaching experience in USA, Thailand, and Philippines.
Currently living in Monterey County and making new friends and clients.
