I am a decorated chef and a Certified Sommelier. My last restaurant I owned. I was nominated top10 best restaurants by USA Today Top 10.
With a lifelong passion for culinary arts and education, my journey began after completing my service in the Army. Relocating to the US Virgin Islands, I established and successfully operated my own restaurant, “balter,” for eight years. Notably, “balter” earned the distinction of being the first establishment in the USVI to present a five-course meal with wine pairings at the prestigious James Beard House in New York. My restaurant received accolades, including being ranked #1 by USA TodayTop10 in both 2016 and 2019. Recognized by esteemed publications such as The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Travel & Leisure, Wine Spectator, Southern Coastal Magazine, and various local periodicals, I have garnered a reputation for excellence in the culinary world.
Leveraging my expertise, I specialize in crafting bespoke experiences such as specialty wine or cocktail paired dinners, private cooking classes, wine deductive tastings, wine education seminars, mixology courses, and a range of private chef services.
