I've worked in the kitchen professionally for the past 4 years, but I've been cooking since I was 3. My mother and family instilled the importance of cooking and family since I was young. Growing up, I noticed how every culture uses fire in their cooking. It isn't just a means to warm up some food but to gather around and be merry with those that you love and care for. My goal as a chef is to capture that feeling every time I present a dish. That is also the reason why I try to feature some aspect of fire in my cooking. I want to bring us back to the hearth.
