Hi, I am Chef Melu. I have over 20 years culinary experience. I also attended culinary school and have worked in some great establishments. I've served our vets in Mather, Ca and our seniors in Sacramento, Ca. I currently serve our young folks in crisis. I am inspired by my culture and upbringing. I fuse together my Cuban heritage with American and Middle Eastern influences. You can smell the spices. I'd like to offer folks an opportunity to learn from me and take home these recipes that I've aquired throughout my life and share them with their loved ones!

Cooking is love. It is how I share all my good energy with the world. I transfer all my good thoughts and prayers into every meal.

I learned to cook at...

I learned helping my grandma as a child. I'd peel the skin off the chicken legs when she would make Fricase de pollo.

A cooking secret...

To go with the flow, don't force anything like in life. I add what feels right, I take chances and play with flavors, spices, fusing cultural staples.
