I'm a professional chef from San Francisco, with over 10 years of experience. I just moved to Portland and although I hope to utilize my background in French, Spanish and Italian cuisine, I look forward to learning what the Pacific Northwest has to offer me. My passion is cooking for people, whether it's at work or at home, inside or outside the kitchen, for a single day or for a whole week. Matthieu was incredible. So much more than we thought we would get. 10/10

We wanted to have a special & unique experience for our out-of-town guest and when we saw Chef Mathieu’s Spanish inspired menu we knew instantly it would be perfect. We recently returned from a trip to Spain and had lots of ideas about dishes we would like to try again. Chef Mathieu’s Spanish Omlette was so very good but it’s not anything I would attempt any time soon! Same with the Paella. It was fun to see complex dishes like these prepared in real time in your own kitchen! His chicken meatballs in curry yogurt were a special treat for me. Wow! By the end of the evening we were very well fed, happy, and confident our guest won’t soon forget the her visit.

We hired Chef Matt for our wedding anniversary. His food was delicious! The menu took your palate on a journey and it all was very cohesive and delicious. He made everything from scratch and each course came out in a timely matter. He was engaging and made sure we were ready for next courses (and let us take breaks as needed). He was very friendly and a great server and answered any questions we had. Would use him again in a heartbeat for future special occasions!
