Chef Marc Bruckel
Personal Chef In New OrleansI am a professional chef with 13 years of experience in the kitchen. My love for cooking started when I was 6, and I haven’t stopped cooking since.
I attended culinary school at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, Ca, and worked in various restaurants honing my skills there before moving to New Orleans where I started my own food cart on Frenchmen street.
After that, I worked at Suis Generis in the Bywater where I was the sous chef for 2 years, then the Chef de Cuisine for 5 years. In my roll as the CDC, I was tasked with creating an entirely new menu for the restaurant every week. In my tenure there, I helped create, prep, and serve over 2,000 unique menu items from countless different types of cuisines. With this knowledge, I believe I will be able to satisfy any culinary need you may have.
I currently own and operate a Colombian food pop up called “El Caimán Gordo” where I’m cooking the traditional Colombian food that I grew up eating. Though this is my current business venture, my personal chef menus and offerings are not limited to Colombian food. I’ve spent years practicing and preparing all different types of foods in a professional setting.
Whether it be a 30 minute meal, or days curing and fermenting, I would love to make whatever you crave a reality for you to eat.
