Chef Luisa Shields

My name is Luisa Shields and food has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a very Italian family and we centered everything around it. At the beginning of my food journey, it was more about the eating part for me. My Nonna is still the best cook I know, and my favorite times growing up were eating her food. It was the best part of visiting because I knew she would make all of my favorites. Every night at home it was important to my family to have a balanced meal together at the table, which is something that has stuck with me throughout my life. In college, I began cooking almost every night. I still had to eat good food, right? I loved to cook for my friends and began to deliver the joy that food brings, just like my Nonna did. I moved to Austin, TX, after graduation and worked as a line cook for about a year but discovered the kitchen environment was not what I was looking for. After exploring the real estate industry for a few years - I have come to find what my true calling is. And that is to bring joy through nourishing meals that not only fuel your body but also unite people around the table, making it easy to enjoy a stress-free dinner every night. After all, there's nothing more meaningful than sharing a delicious meal together at the end of the day.
