Chef Lawrence Ozoa
Personal Chef In HonoluluChef Lawrence Ozoa was born and raised in the town of Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu. He Joined Nico's Kailua in June of 2017, where he serves as Chef De Cuisine. His culinary background is in fine dining and has worked for such venues as The Modern Honolulu Hotel, and BLT Market at the Ritz Carlton. He drew much of his influence from his time spent with Chef Masuhara Morimoto at Morimoto Waikiki, where he had the pleasure of cooking for many celebrities, including President Barack Obama. He has also staged with Peter Gordon at his famous Sugar Club in Auckland, New Zealand. Chef Lawrence has cooked in both Seattle and Hawaii over a span of a decade. Prior to his career in the culinary arts he attended the University of San Francisco for Public Administration... In his past life, he has worked for political officials in San Francisco, as well as serving the community for a number of years working in Public Health. He made a career change to follow his love and passion for cooking. Lawrence is working toward his Master's Degree in Hospitality Administration.
