Chef Kristen Willfong

I've had a love of food since I was young. I have fond memories helping my mother with dinners, learning how to peel potatoes and make rice that was perfect for sushi. Asian and Hawai'ian food is the foundation of my love of food and cooking.

I took to the restaurant industry like a fish to water. I dove head first into learning the basics of culinary and have not gone a week without either reading or watching something about food. I currently work for an Italian restaurant after having spent 3 years in a vegan restaurant, and I have learned much more then what I could have from videos alone. It has driven me to learn about food sensitives and food restrictions, which I take rather seriously.

I am always happy to learn something new, whether it is techniques or cuisine; I will always be a student of cooking.
