Private Chef In Palm SpringsChef Katherine King was destined to land in the culinary crafts starting at a very early age. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest and experiencing firsthand what now is trending as "locally sourced" and "farm-to-table"...using the freshest of ingredients. It started by the side of her grandmother making jams and baked items to share with family and friends.
A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Chef KK launched her culinary career at San Francisco's Campton Place Hotel. Over the next two years Chef KK worked her way up from Chef at Zuni Cafe to Dinner Chef at San Francisco's Post Street Bar & Cafe at the St. Andrew's Hotel.
Chef KK relocated to Los Angeles where she applied her culinary expertise in quality assurance for Richfield’s Specialty Seafood; was Chef at the exclusive Geoffrey’s of Malibu; and followed by joining the team at Ambrosia Caterers as the Executive Chef. It was while at Ambrosia, she had the distinct pleasure of orchestrating the catering & staffing for such notable events as the Academy Award's Govenors' Galas two years in a row, as well as numerous Studio Events & Premiers. Her "satisfied" client list is extensive and includes a long list of happy clients...from celebrities to Fortune 500 companies and all the wonderful clients across the board. With a special love of preparing Mexican cuisine, she was afforded the opportunity to travel to Mexico City and Michoacán exploring and experiencing the authentic fare with renowned Chef and Author, Diana Kennedy.
