Johnny grew up in the pnw and moved to new york in his late teens. he is never going back to new york if he can help it. He currently resides on capital hill in seattle and is the executive chef of Mezzanotte in Georgetown.
In 2011 he received an advanced certificate from the wset (wine studies).
In 2014 he graduated from icp’s general studies program (photos).
In2021 he started the pop up The Marble Queen in Portland, Or (food).

My fist sous chef job was at Diner in Brooklyn in 1999. We were at the forefront of the the local food movement, and I learned a great deal.
