Chef Jekeria Sous Chef

I Started my culinary journey When I was in high school. I was in JROTC my Army instructor asked me what I liked to do, I told him I really enjoyed cooking. I love everything about it. He told me he had an Army Buddy that had a food truck with his son. He asked if I'll be interested, I said yes. he immediately called them, and it took off from there. I've done catering events, Concerts, weddings everything. The son is now my mentor he was a chef in the navy and currently a chef and Chief Warrant officer over food in the army. I was currently trying to enlist in the military myself, but God had bigger and greater plans for me. so, I became my mentor's sous Chef on his truck we did many events, and I've learned so much. But we had to slow down on business because he's full-time military. So, over the time I ended up working as a cook in the school kitchen I really enjoyed it. But with the experience I have I want to go further I didn't want to there. so, I kept seeing the Escoffier ad online and one day I took a leap of faith and put Application. Cooking means a lot to me. not just because I enjoy it. But my dad and uncles had a talent in the kitchen but never took it further. I want to take it further and I'll be the first in the family to do it. Over the time I’ve learned a-lot and have a a lot of skills and experience.
