Get to know me better

I am a Lifestyle Medicine Consultant and student at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts - Plant-based. I enjoy cooking for family and friends.

I am a Lifestyle Medicine Clinician & Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Consultant at Diabetes Wellness Consulting - with 25 years of experience. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice alumna from Azusa Pacific University. I previously earned my MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University. My certification as a Diplomat of Lifestyle Medicine was achieved from American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Currently, I am pursuing certification as a plant-based chef at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. At Diabetes Wellness Consulting, I recognize that one size does not fit all. Measures to support the treatment, remission, and prevention of type 2 diabetes and coexisting conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol must be individualized. However, based on my lifetime professional experience, the intervention most likely to achieve health targets for patients with type 2 diabetes involves dietary changes towards whole food plant-predominant meals. My perspective as it relates to health drives me to utilize proven means of optimizing the well-being of clients rather than managing their illness. Optimal health doesn’t mean one has to be 100% plant based. However, a whole-food, plant-predominant diet (including water) is shown to have the greatest health benefit. If one chooses to consume meat or fish, treating it as more of a condiment, and not consuming it at every meal or every day is recommended. Clean animals that graze on grass, clean pasture-raised poultry, clean and cold water fish are better options. When modifying your eating plan towards whole-food plant-predominant - dose matters. The higher the dose, the better the results. I am happy to prepare your plant-predominant meals and assist you on your journey of health and wellness.
