I am a culinary professional with 20 years experience as a chef. I've worked all over the country in numerous highly acclaimed and award winning restaurants.

I recently just returned from working as a chef at a wood fired concept and a sushi bar for the last 5 years.

I specialize in classic French and Italian cuisine and techniques. Along side a vast knowledge modernist techniques, world flavors, high graded meats, steaks, chops and other exotic proteins.

I can create dynamic creative menus for any occasion, dietary restriction or allergy.

I absolutely love to teach people about new flavors, techniques, and dishes.

I hope to be able to be a private chef for some amazing people that would love to dive into an amazing culinary experience.

Chef Derek was amazing. He communicated promptly, made requested adjustments to menu, showed up on time and prepared a delicious multi course meal using only an outdoor grill! The dining experience was wonderful. We would absolutely hire Chef Derek again!

Chef Derek cooked my brother and his family a meal for his birthday and they were so impressed and loved everything he made! You could tell how much care he put into each dish, and the plating was just as great as the taste. Highly recommend!!

Great experience, Portions were plentiful with yummy left overs in the fridge. We had to pace ourselves but it was amazing watching the plates come to life in front of us.
