An award-winning graduate of Western Culinary Institute, Chef Cindy pursues her passion for food and entertaining and combines it with the unique North Lake Tahoe lifestyle. Specialties include cakes, breads, and pastries, Thai cuisine, northern Italian cuisine, steaks and seafood, and healthy diets.

Cindy was so professional, attentive, and fun - she explained all of the dishes, even bringing her own harvest from her garden to share which was lovely, and the food was well prepared and very, very good. She cleaned up and packed up the kitchen and we didn't have to do a thing! Cindy was incredible and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Chef Cindy is a joy to work with from start to finish. She took care to come up with a menu that worked well for our group and individual’s various needs (gluten free, etc.) and efficiently prepared a delicious & memorable dinner for our group of 9. And the homeowner’s kitchen was spotless at the end which made it even better. Would definitely work with her and her lovely assistant Kara again.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Chef Cindy cook for us, and I cannot recommend her enough! From breakfast to dinner, every meal was a delight, packed with delicious homemade flavors and thoughtful touches that truly made our experience special. Chef Cindy was not only punctual and easy to work with, but she also brought incredible surprises from her own garden—fresh pico de gallo, vibrant sauces, and the most flavorful veggies. Each dish was a testament to her skill and creativity. We can’t wait to have her back! ????????????????????

Chef Cindy gave us a lovely experience, was very collaborative with the menu, and very friendly and attentive all evening. Every course was delicious, the Tuscan soup especially! Highly recommend!

Chef Cindy was totally awesome! We had a very relaxing and tasty experience. She served us amazing apps, the smoked shrimp was AWESOME!! The plates were done so nicely and the food was fantastic. The chocolate cheesecake was so decadent, we nibbled on the leftovers all night long. I would definitely higher her again!

We hosted a dinner for sixteen people, and Cindy did a fantastic job, from picking a great menu to being flexible with us concerning requests and changes (and in particular last-minute requests from us). The meal was fantastic, and the service was wonderful. Everyone was very impressed and had a great time. I highly recommend!

I don't think it could have gone any better. Chef Cindy is incredible. The food and service was top notch. Her personality was fitting and welcomed. I wish she lived in Texas so that we could experience her talent more often.

Amazing.

Having Cindy in our home for an intimate dinner party for my husband's birthday was such a treat. She was easy to work with, had great communication from start to finish, was able to work with the tools/features/limitations of our kitchen and still make everything feel like a 5-star restaurant. I would highly recommend Cindy to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

Chef Cindy was amazing! She was very responsive as we set up the event and planned the meal. She helped me customize the menu and was easy to work with. She was punctual and calm. Chef Cindy cooked for and served us while on a girl's trip in Lake Tahoe. While booking, Chef Cindy was extremely responsive and flexible, easily making new suggestions to our menu based on dietary preferences. On the day of, she was punctual and cooked a wonderful meal. Our cuisine was middle eastern, and the appetizers (falafel and spanakopita), soup, main (shrimp pasta) and dessert were delicious. Overall, everyone was very impressed with the meal & Chef Cindy was very professional. Would recommend Take a Chef & Chef Cindy!

Cindy was punctual, easy and most importantly, a very talented chef. We were celebrating our elopement and she made the night feel so special. She even made us a mini wedding cake! It was such a delightful experience, to much we attribute our beautiful meal to.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Lake Tahoe and hired a chef to cook our anniversary meal. Our chef was Cindy Mctammany and she was magnificent! She worked with us to creat our custom menu to fit both our dietary preferences (I am pescatarian my hubby is not). She created a beautiful fresh meal and even recreated our wedding cake almond + cream cheese frosting which was completely vegan and an absolute treat! Everything was cooked/prepared perfectly. She set the table for us and left our kitchen spotless. Take a chef services were so great and easy to use. 5 starts would definitely recommend to anyone and we will certainly use them again!
