I love making sushi, especially when I get to throw sushi parties. I started my sushi journey over 25 years ago at Nami Sushi in Ferndale on 9 Mile. Since then, I’ve worked at numerous well-loved sushi bars around Detroit, as well as in San Diego and Austin, TX. I’ve even put together some pretty wild sushi events, like serving sushi off nude models, which always adds a bit of extra excitement.

Sushi is more than just a job for me; it’s about making something awesome and having fun doing it. I’ve catered at big venues like the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and various high-profile events, always bringing something new to the table. Whether it’s whipping up fan favorites like Dragon Rolls or dishing out tasty apps like Crab Rangoon and Avocado Bombs, I love mixing the classic with a twist of something new.

Chef Chris was great at his craft. We planned a lunch and sushi making demonstration for our grandsons. We all had a great time. Food was excellent and Chef Chris was very engaging and a lot of fun.
