I was raised in San Francisco, CA where the food culture is undeniable and I was fortunate to experience every type of food growing up. While most kids were having cereal or doughnuts before school, I thought it was the norm to stop for Dim Sum, pirogi or piroshki. This exposure to all types of fare from a young age created a love for flavors and cooking that has stuck with me my entire life, though it was not until I was in my mid 30's that I stepped into a professional kitchen for the first time
Taking a chance on myself and my passion, I sold everything I owned, gave up a 15 year career, moved 600 miles away from my hometown and worked unpaid for a year just to get the chance to live my dream and learn from some of the best chefs in the country.
Since then I have cooked across the United States in every kind of kitchen, from Michelin Star restaurants in California to country store burger shacks in rural Virginia. I love traveling around experiencing new things and nothing makes me happier than sharing my passion for fresh, flavorful regional cuisine.
I am currently based in Cheyenne, Wyoming focusing on partnerships with local purveyors and ranchers.
