Chef Basak Basargan

I am a 27-year-old chef with 9 years of experience in Mediterranean cuisine. I graduated from Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Yeditepe University in Turkey. My career includes working at De Kromme Watergang, a two Michelin-starred restaurant in Zeeland, NL, and Alancha Restaurant/Sapa Istanbul, renowned Anatolian/Mediterranean restaurants. Recently, I served as a Sous Chef for nearly three years at a Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago.

I have a diverse skill set from working in various kitchen sections and am experienced in Mediterranean cuisine, pastry and baking, food and beverage management, and nutrition. I excel in both individual and team settings, with strong problem-solving and project management skills.
