International chef having worked as a yacht chef, private chef on land, head chef on tour with Cirque du Soleil for 5 years as well as fine dining.
I'm a professional international chef with over 20 years experience.
I started my career after cooking school in catering and then moved to fine restaurant dining for 8 years. I spent those restaurant years learning everything I could about international cuisine and baking, researching food and trends as they developed around me. I also used my expertise in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking to formulate creative and delicious fusion over the years that my clients have enjoyed ever since.
After that I toured internationally with Cirque du Soleil for 5 years spending time in North and South America and a year in Japan. I managed 4 cooks who were from a 4 different countries and we all loved cooking for the cast and crew of over 150. The international experience I amassed over those 5 years was pivotal in allowing me to expand my repertoire.
After a short sabbatical, I decided to change scenery and started working on a private yacht for 5 years with the same family. After they sold their yacht, I stayed on in South Florida as a freelance yacht chef.
After that I returned to my home country of Canada awaiting my US Green Card where I opened a lovely small shop in Toronto selling prepared meals and shelf stable canned goods. When my lease was up I closed shop looking for a much bigger store and working as a private chef for a family for a year in the meantime. While with this family my Green Card came through so I decided to return to the US, California specifically.
I freelanced in beautiful Los Angeles for a year as a private chef and then I was offered the amazing opportunity to join Harry Styles as his private chef on his North and South American tour. I joined his team and cooked for him every day for 4 months on a whirlwind tour.
I spent the first half of 2023 as head chef on board a 145 foot private yacht and spent the entire time in Europe on the A,alfi Coast and the Italian Riviera.
I came back to South Florida to settle after my last yacht job and then I took a well deserved sabattical.
I'm ready to jump back into the cooking world with a wealth of experience and motivation.
