Hello my name is Adam Shohet. A little about myself, I am a chef with over 10 years of professional experience and I have worked in fine dining and Michelin starred restaurants in London and New York. For the past 3 and 1/2 years, I have been the private chef for a UHNW family based in NYC. I have a background in classic French and European cuisines, as well as a personal love of middle-eastern, mediterranean and Asian cuisines.

For me, cooking is...

my lifestyle. I cook to work, as a hobby and as a means to destress. Even when I am not cooking, I am visiting restaurants.

I learned to cook at...

a culinary school and The Ivy restaurant in London. I was an apprentice chef so I would go to school 1 day and work the other 4 days per week.

A cooking secret...

I view vegatables as a primary ingredient. I find that they're seen as secondary to proteins but with the right cooking, they can be so much more.
