Meet Chef Johnathan, this world-traveled chef has packed in a lot of experience. The new area culinarian says he has mastered the perfect culinary marriage of international flavors and American regional cuisine. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America. The chef began his food service career in the military as a food service specialist in 1982, where he was given the opportunity to attend a culinary workshop; and then chosen to represent in a competition. However, he said, his interest in food and cooking began long before, “when I started burning cookies in my mother’s oven.”

His professional experiences include work in large hotels, independent restaurants owner, and culinary instructor, held positions of Executive chef, Sous chef to General manager: Sheraton hotel, NY, Hilton Seelbach Oakroom, Louisville, KY, Medellin, Colombia, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Hotel Pulitzer, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Louisiana Cajun kitchen, Howard University, Washington, D.C and as well as a culinary instructor for private and educational companies in New York City and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

An ardent traveler, Chef Johnathan has incorporated his travels into his passion and his love for food. He said. “I love to travel, and I have developed my own particular cuisine from what I’ve experienced. I go to different countries to find something distinctive and bring it back with me,” said the chef, who has visited more than 36 countries
