Lots of cultures and influences with training in culinary hotspot Paris, I am here to reacquaint Wellington with Egyptian and Middle Eastern cuisine
I am a professional chef, trained in various kitchens in Paris under many great chefs. In my last year in Paris, I helped manage 2 very different restaurants (Cantina - Argentinian canteen with a focus on natural fire-grilling techniques and Petit Navire - A mediterranean restaurant with a weekly changing menu of small sharing plates). I like to focus on vegetables and relatively healthy dishes, fresh flavours and seasonal ingredients and I like working with local producers and spending time learning their processes.
Since moving to Wellington, I have opened my own Egyptian street food stall that focuses on high quality "fast food" which can be hired for catering events. I also have a separate menu that is a bit more high end for special occasions and events, still inspired by Egypt and the Middle East's greatest classics.
Food is my way to share a story with everyone involved.
