Chef Sandy Van Den Brink

As the daughter of a seasoned chef, my love for cooking and serving food is a true part of my identity. Naturally, when I left the professional cooking world at 21 to go to art school and become the fashion designer I am today, food never seized to remain an integral part of my life. As a matter of fact, my artsy left turn only expanded my approach to the culinary field, resulting in the diverse, flavourful and creative dishes in my repertoire.

What you can expect from me are well built flavours in both lean nutrient dense dishes and richer indulgent treats. I also draw a lot of inspiration from within my mixed Aruban and Surinamese heritage. In my culture, food means more than mere sustenance and fusion is a natural instinct. It brings me great joy to share this exciting and warm approach to cooking and eating with others.
