I'm from Brasil, spending all my childhood summers in Sevilla –Spain, living in New York, so in a "Brazilian-New Yorker" context; I see this reflected in our intensely layered, multicultural society. For me, the immigrants and their families, their stories and their commitment to the traditional ways, have contributed markedly to my career only in the positive way. We have a voracious appetite for creativity and culture, and it is this people, along with their exquisite food- their pastizzi, their sashimi, their pappadums, their Olio di Oliva Extravergine, my mother paella, their boulfaf, their kibbeh and sfiha, their bacalhau a "Gomes de Sa", their pain au chocolat, my feijoada, their moussaka, their tortas de aceite, their aligot- that make this such a vibrant and diverse country. Ten years experience in a variety of restaurant styles around the world.
