Chef Tom Hood

Thomas is a fully qualified and experienced chef with over 14 years of experience internationally, cooking in restaurants, hotels, and on-board luxury superyachts for high-profile and discerning guests.

During the formative stages in his career which were based in the UK, Thomas was eager to hone his skills in France to learn many of the delicious dishes he would enjoy as a child when his family spent time in their property in Bergerac. He spent several years working in seasonal positions in the Alps during the winter which eventually saw him become head chef of the 5-star hotel Rosalp in Verbier.

After leaving restaurants and hotels, Thomas pursued the world of private service and his passion for travel, embarking upon the next nine years of his career on luxury yachts. Having traveled around the world at least twice by sea, he is has become knowledgeable about the cuisines of different countries and enjoys recreating dishes he has experienced for his principals and guests.

Thomas has undertaken intensive bread-making classes and is adept at producing beautiful artisan loaves.

He has also gained much experience, and enjoys the challenge of creating delicious dishes for different dietary requirements, and uses this experience to create a culinary experience based on the needs of the principal. Although Thomas is highly capable of cooking a wide range of styles of food, he is passionate about cooking pure, healthy and nutritious cuisine using the finest ingredients which he sources from the best suppliers and providores.
