Private Chef In EspooMy name is Simone, I am a 43-year-old chef and was born and raised in the city of Genova, Italy.
Food has always been a key part of my life. That's why when I just turned 16 years old, I decided to follow my dreams and I enrolled in the Nino Bergese Institute, where I got my diploma and graduated as Chef. My first experience in a kitchen was in my beloved Genova, working in a restaurant whose specialty was seafood (Muina Ristorante).
Life had some surprises for me, so I moved to Belgium and then to Madrid. In these cities, I worked for Italian restaurants for a 1 year period each.
Once in Finland, I worked for a couple of months at Mamma Rosa, in Töölö, and at Don Corleone, in Kamppi.
I'm currently working as the main chef at the Argentinian Embassy, always making special menus for many different occasions. Some occasions are more formal than others, but always with the respect and seriousness that making food for others deserves. I also do private dinners for the Italian, Austrian and Moroccan embassies.
I had an experience as the owner of La Bottega, a wine bar in Ullanlinna, where we had imported quality products from Italy and the best Risotto in town.
Throughout my career, I have been working and developing new recipes, improving my skills, and learning new techniques, but always remembering those days cooking with my grandma, and that nice smell in the kitchen, which I can't forget.
