There is elegance and art in every plate. Every meal is a canvas. Every ingredient a different hue of paint. My knives are my brushes.
I have been cooking for almost 20 years. My passion was ignited in my
mother’s kitchen at very young age. After school, I began my professional
career in sales and then banking. 5 years in, I decided to pivot and pursue
my passion for food. My life has never been the same.
After training locally, I became Sous-Chef at Amanzi Restaurant where I
had the privilege of running one of the premier kitchens in Zimbabwe. I
was mentored by Chef Johannes De Bruijn (Restaurant JDB) and had the
honour of working with Chef Matt Stevens (The Potluck Club) and Chef
Tjaart Walraven ( The Great South African Bake-Off).
In 2020, I started my first food business; Black Bean Taqueria. I founded a
second food business, Moto Braai & Grill, in 2021. Since then, I have done
work as a consultant, radio host, YouTube host and podcast guest all in
the realm of the culinary arts. It has been an incredible journey and the
story continues to be written “pour l’armour de la cuisine.”
