As a private chef in the fine dining realm, I excel in creating customized menus tailored to each client's preferences and dietary needs.
As a chef, my culinary journey began in an unexpected place – as a waiter while still in college. However, it wasn't long before I realized that my true passion lay in the kitchen. I found myself drawn to the world of fine dining, where every dish was a work of art, meticulously crafted to tell a story on the plate before the first bite was taken.
I was fortunate to start my culinary career alongside a group of individuals who were masters in their craft of fine dining masterpieces. Under their guidance, I learned the importance of attention to detail, precision, and creativity in the culinary world. One of my biggest influencers and mentors during this time was Dennis Ang'ani, whose expertise and passion for fine dining inspired me to pursue excellence in my own culinary journey.
For four years, I had the privilege of working with Dennis, creating private dinners and pop-ups at patrons' homes, restaurants, and even hosting dinners in Airbnb rentals. This experience laid the foundation for my understanding of the fine dining arena and fueled my desire to create unforgettable culinary experiences.
After honing my skills with Sextet by Dennis, we embarked on venture, opening a restaurant called Embark. Here, I spent two more years perfecting my craft before seeking further exposure and knowledge in the hotel industry. My journey led me to Movenpick Hotel in Nairobi Westlands, where I worked for eight months before joining the prestigious Hemingways Collection in Karen.
During my time at Hemingways, a boutique hotel known for its luxurious dining experiences, I continued to refine my skills and expand my culinary repertoire. After one year and three months, I seized the opportunity to further challenge myself by joining the team at Radisson Blu Hotel in Upperhill, Nairobi, where I currently work.
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to work in fine dining kitchens where I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in the culinary world. However, the idea of providing private chef or personal chef services has always stayed with me. From my early days working with Dennis on private dinners and pop-ups, I fell in love with the idea of bringing happiness to people through food in the comfort of their own homes.
Now, as I continue to grow and evolve as a chef, I am more determined than ever to pursue my passion for private chef services. I believe that every meal has the power to create unforgettable memories, and I am committed to bringing joy and culinary excellence to every dining experience I create.
