Personal Chef In San Pawl Il-BaħarHi! I have been working in the business of making people happy through food for 8 years now. The first half of that time was spent with guests as I worked front of house and as a manager at one of Jamie Oliver's restaurants in London as well as part of a pop up restaurant in Islington. Finally realising that I actually wanted to make a profession out of the cooking too I have spent the past few years working as a personal chef on Sailing Yachts. I love my line of work because I get to interact with people, finding out what they really love to eat or wish they could but don't know how to prepare it. I speak to them about their intolerances and find ways to cook up their favourite food using alternative ingredients so that they can enjoy it without the consequences.
I have recently taken a break from working on yachts in order to take up two internships, both in 2 Michelin starred kitchens. The first was at San Francisco's Coi and the second at renowned restaurant Noma in Copenhagen. They both opened my eyes up to different techniques and taught me the refinements needed for such high standards of cooking.
