I am an incredibly passionate, Classically French trained Chef with exceptional technical skills and understanding. Michelin stars and Super Yachts.
Born and raised in the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by some of the best food in the world. I grew up on a farm where we raised free range chickens, Rare breed pigs and shorthorn cows which were milked each morning and we even made our own butter and cheese. Before school, only 5 or 6 years old I remember vividly having errands to run from milking the cow to collecting eggs from the hen house. My mother had almost an acre of organic vegetable garden which enabled us to be almost completely self sufficient from the land as well as having an abundance of local wild salmon, Venison and shellfish from the sea. I am blessed to have been brought up in such a way and I am grateful for the knowledge I have grasped about food as a result of this.
I am a passionate chef with 19 years experience in the industry. During my career I have trained under some incredible Chefs, worked in 2 Michelin star kitchens, worked for 3 royal families in the capacity of head chef and also worked on some of the most prestigious super yachts in the world. I am culinary trained (classical French) I also hold qualifications in Adult nutrition and I am also a trained dietician. As a result I have exceptional knowledge of Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan food.
For me food now is all about flavours and seasonality which allows us chefs the best opportunity to create something beautiful and tasty! Whilst I will always love fine dining I really enjoy simpler foods very well cooked and in a more relaxed and feel good environment.
I am very happy to any of your needs from family style buffets or backyard BBQ's to indulgent and formal tasting menus.
