I was born and raised in Kenya, moved to Canada 11 years ago and cooking is the center of my life and my culture. I am previously a professional nurse turned chef, attended, and graduated from NWCAV. Since graduation I have worked in catering, restaurants and have worked my way up from garde manger, prep, CDP to sous chef and running kitchens as well as intimate & large catering events. I also have experience in baking and pastry that is my secret weapon in the kitchen. Most recent kitchen job was sous chef at a catering company/restaurant where I managed the staff operating the restaurant and the catering team as well. I oversaw various tasks from ordering to inventory to custom menu creations and prepping with my team.
