Chef Lucky holds Ontario chef Red Seal paper and certified Food Handler who has over 18 years of experience in culinary management inspiring hotel guests and patrons throughout Canada and international markets with his culinary creativity and expertise. He has a vast culinary career working in various 5-star hotels in worldwide including Hilton Worldwide, Peter & Pauls, Rideau Carlton Raceway, Lord Elgin, Heritance Ahungalla (5-star beach resort in Sri Lanka), and Adaaran Prestige Vadoo (5-star hotel in the Maldives).

Chef Lucky completed his Culinary Diploma at Winstone Hotel School in Sri Lanka in 2008 and the International Food Preparation and Cooking (Culinary Arts) Program under City & Guilds - United Kingdom. Chef Lucky holds a Bachelor of Science Special Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from University of Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka. He has conducted and presented on various topics of tourism development, management and customer related researches. He is exceptionally talented in new signature food experiments and developing recipes to suit different tastes, cultures, and nationalities.

Chef Lucky has comprehensive culinary training and knowledge in many cuisines including Fine Dining, Grill, Western, Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, Mexican, French, Asian and South Asian Culinary, Canadian kitchen, Lounge, Gourmet meals, Large-scale Banquet and Catering. He is exceptionally skilled at putting his own stamp on traditional dishes, creating new combinations and experimenting with new flavors while being careful not to compromise the freshness and originality of the food he prepares. Throughout his culinary career, he has been appointed to several task forces to assist new hotels in their openings.

We recently had the pleasure of having Chef Lucky cook a meal for us at our home, and it was a wonderful experience. Chef Lucky arrived right on time, bringing a sense of professionalism and ease to our evening. The meal they prepared was delicious, with each dish thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. Chef Lucky was not only skilled in the kitchen but also incredibly helpful and accommodating. They took the time to ensure everything was perfect, catering to our preferences and making sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the meal. Their friendly and approachable demeanor made the evening even more enjoyable.

This was an amazing experience! I got multiple proposals and I picked the one I liked the most and still made some changes with the chef. He showed up and had everything beautifully ready to cook the meal. He was kind and professional. This was a birthday meal for my mom who is quite sick and he made all her favorites to perfection. It was a a night to remember.

Chef Lucky was responsive and heard our requests (eg gluten free, no cilanto). He was professional but friendly and easy going. We enjoyed the whole experience from introduction to completion.

Chef Lucky was incredibly engaging and respectful of our space and conversation. He balanced the tricky line of being a part of our evening while letting us enjoy the company and his menu. His menu was also quite special with his own take on each dish and bringing a little of his home into the spices. I would have loved more of his culture represented in the dishes, as it was so special. It was certainly great value as the portion sizes were incredible! I would honestly make the portions a little smaller and add less butter and more spice to the escargot dish. Tremendous evening with good company and terrific service. I would definitely call upon Chef Lucky again.

Il a été facile de communiquer avec lui et de lui faire part de mes besoins pour ce souper. Mes parents ont beaucoup apprécié leur expérience. La qualité et la présentation des plats ont été à la hauteur de leurs attentes. Mention spéciale pour le dessert (Gâteau au caramel salé) pour lequel mes parents ont été très impressionnés.

We had an incredible evening thanks to Chef Lucky. The taste, presentation and portion sizes of the dinner were wonderful! He presented great menu options, was incredibly flexible to offer modifications to the menu and time/date of the event, and clearly communicated throughout the entire process. I would strongly recommend Chef Lucky and would absolutely hire him again.

Chef Lucky was great! From the first communication, all the way to the end. Very fast responses, attentive to our likes or changes we asked about. We were never left wondering what was going on. He arrived on time, did his thing. The food and presentation was beyond beautiful and delicious. We had asked as an add on for canapés and he had choices for us to select from. We are very happy and glad that Chef Lucky was able to make our intimate wedding dinner memorable and delicious. He cleaned up between courses so we did not have to do that and think about it. Highly recommend his services.

Chef Lucky is friendly and engaging. Every aspect of his food is incredible. He has broad experience, has traveled extensively and this shows in his food creations. Communication prior to the event was excellent. The food descriptions sounded good; however the taste was even better. We also appreciated his openess and cooperation in planning the menu with us. We had two different people with dietary restrictions which he accommodated perfectly.
