Chef John Griggs

I have always loved food and cooking from a young age. Whenever we had big family gatherings it was always focused around food and everyone was enjoying themselves. I figured that it would be great job to have, I loved cooking and eating food and have always wanted to make people happy. My uncle was a chef and he told me if you had a passion for what you do, the world is your oyster and the sky is the limit. And hearing what he had done , I knew that this was what I wanted to do. My first restaurant job was at the age of 15 and the rest his history.

Born and raised in Toronto with over 30 years experience in restaurants, resorts, hotels and private clubs. I spent a majority of my career working and living in the Cayman Islands, where I was Executive Chef for a five star resort as well as being Chef Owner of a restaurant and catering company for Seven years. I was classically trained with a broad range of cuisine including French, Italian, Caribbean, Asian and South American. I love to travel so I can experience new cultures and cuisines. I have a passion for food and enjoy sharing it with people.
