I am a formed chef from Brazil currently leaving in Perth WA.

After many years on the corporate world I have decided to take a shot and change career to what I was always passionate about: FOOD, COOKING & SERVING, so I moved to Australia did my studies at TAFE NSW and after that have worked in many restaurants and different types of functions, with a highlight to working for the beautiful institution OzHarvest where I could make my two worlds meet through food and sustainable practices. I fell in love..

My dream was always to open my own business and after a bit of immersion on the hospitality world I realized that catering and private chef work is what fulfill me the most, the straight contact with your client, the possibility to create and help them to build the best experience to their guests really enchants me.

Wow wow wow. If you’re thinking of booking a private chef absolutely book Iara. I was getting ready at my own house the morning of the wedding and had 11 people, 3 stylists and my nieces all getting ready at my house. I was looking for ages at catering options as I wanted breakfast and a good wholesome lunch. I just kept thinking that we would all be eating at different times and wasn’t sure how I would keep food hot. I also didn’t really want the stress of that on the day and after seeing the price of catering I thought about a private chef. I had never booked one before but after doing some minor googling I found take a chef. Best decision ever!! I posted my requested and had a response from Iara. I could see that Iara saw my vision and after some minor back and forth messages we decided on the vision. Iara was extremely accomodating and went above and beyond with the food. For breakfast there was a stunning fruit platter, croissants with many different fillings and the most devine coconut yoghurts with granola. For main breakfast to order, my family could order eggs on toast with avocado and bacon. Iara was very accomodation and thoughtful with dietary requirements. For lunch we had 2 delicious salads, chicken and lamb skewers cooked on the bbq (so succulent and delicious) and delicious mini prawn subs. Everyone was so full. We even had dessert, a puff pastry of coconut mouse and pineapple. These were so absolutely delicious I ate the left overs when I got home from the wedding!! I provided all the plates, cutlery and grazing boards. Presentation was stunning…everything just looked so good! Iara even printed the menu for us to have on display. I loved how easy this all was. Iara brought all the food, and went straight to work when they arrived: even suggesting we set up a tea and coffee station outside which was perfect. Iara cleaned up everything and made my family feel so comfortable. Even taking time to set aside food for the stylist. I will certainly be using their services again. Iara was organised, very friendly, the food was scrumptious, everything was washed, I felt so comfortable having them in my house. I didn’t stress at all about food on the day and everyone was full and the best part was I had leftovers!!

Iara was absolutely incredible and overall it was an amazing experience. The menu was absolutely perfect and customised to different dietary preferences. Iara went above and beyond ensuring every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were extremely generous and she even packed up left overs for us. Highly recommend Iara and will definitely be using again!

Iara was the most incredible chef. From punctuality, the food presentation to the quality and taste of the food. I can confidently say that was some of the best curated menu and food we’ve ever tasted. One of the guests demanded to take home the balsamic butter she made because he was that obsessed! The food was delicious and each item was so unique in its flavour profile. Nothing was plain. She even flavoured the roasted peanuts! She even helped us pack away left overs for the fridge because the quantity of food was massive!! Not often do you get quantity and quality but my goodness there was so much incredible food! I cannot rave on about Iara enough. We will use her again and again and again! Thank you for such a special night iara!
