I am a professional chef born and raised in Central Kenya with over 8 years of experience in the culinary world. My dad and my brother inspired me to pursue culinary art by the way they handled their food with love and I got drawn. I got a hospitality course in Food and Beverage Production, Service & Sales from Murang'a College of Technology in Kenya, and in 1996 I worked at my first job as the caterer/cook in an Irish nuns' residence for 4 years where I was overseeing other cooks and training them. Then I moved to Botswana where I got to work as the personal/private chef to the High Commissioner of Kenya for 4 years and I had the opportunity to exercise my skills in cooking different cuisines like french, continental and also local, for the various visitors frequenting the embassy. While still executing my duties in Botswana I took some online professional courses in Hospitality and Tourism management to keep me up to date in the industry. I am currently living in Dubai since February 2018.

Chef Phillis Wairimu: She accepted the date very short time, due to some issue with earlier selected Chef. Event went through as planned. She is excellent person and very good chef. Very good preparation, authentic taste. This will be with my memory for life long.

Chef Phillis is very professional, attentive to details and extremely discreet. We hired her for dinner for 4 people for New Year's Eve. Dinner was scheduled at 8. She arrived at 3-30 to get everything ready on time. Everything went so well and smooth, Chef Phillis was kind and professional and the food was amazing! - Top quality and so fresh. Phyllis was great!! She was able to put together a delicious spread with less than 48 hours notice for my 35th wedding anniversary dinner. Super responsive, punctual, and polite. Everything was made from scratch, even the Japanese cheesecake which I’m still eating every morning. I would definitely work with Phyllis again!
